ABOUT AMANDA

​

I am a 500+ hour Experienced Yoga Teacher. Having trained with a number of internationally recognised yoga instructors and organisations, I also lead part of the Foundation Yoga Teacher Training course at The Power Yoga Company.

​

My teaching is rooted in Power Yoga, drawing on influences from a dance and athletic background. Focusing on proper alignment and mindful movement, the practice will help improve mobility, strength and flexibility.

In addition to the physical benefits, the practice incorporates breath-work and meditation to help you destress and build healthier coping mechanisms for the day to day demands of modern life.

ABOUT SUMMYT

​

Summyt: a derivation of the English 'summit', meaning peak or culmination of efforts, and the Arabic صمت (samt), meaning quietness or stillness.

​

Summyt Yoga was born from a desire to offer trainings and retreats to anyone and everyone who wants yoga as a part of their life but hasn't found their place in the modern yoga mould. Let's call it yoga for the unassuming yogi.

​

We all have different priorities and passions, and at Summyt, we want to support that individuality. With over 20 years combined experience in yoga, athletics and wellbeing, as well as drawing on influences from creative backgrounds, we have a unique ability to make yoga fit around your lifestyle and work for you.
